Fourth grade math
Purple group: Students worked to measure angles two different ways, by using protractors or using what they knew about benchmark angles in polygons, and then they built new angles using the same techniques. They also made a table of their number of correct multiplication fact answers in weekly warm-ups, to graph for homework tonight.
Blue Group: We had an exciting day learning Lattice Multiplication. As the kids said, "It's like magic!" Tonight's homework has a review page about the method and bonus problems on the last page for enthusiastic multipliers.
Life in the Mining Camps
Students acted out life in a Gold Rush camp, depicting the living conditions, food and housing, price of goods, and entertainment. Below are some scenes of life for the 49ers.
