Science: Students who did not finish the "States of Matter" section of their chemistry booklet should finish this by Tuesday, March 27. See Tuesdays blog for a description of the project, links to videos, and to download the handout.
No math homework. Cerrito students in the 4th grade purple group: please bring your math portfolios back to school on Monday after sharing them with your parents.

Today in our morning meeting with the other 4th/5th grade classroom, groups of students acted out 10 different ways to keep a friend. Lots of creative ideas and food for thought.
Movie
We finished watching the movie "The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin" today!
Science
Today students continued working on their Chemistry end-of-unit projects, using the rubric as a guideline to help encourage them doing their very best work, and we saw lots of very engaged scientists at work, drawing and labe ling diagrams, and writing descriptions of these concepts. Those students who did not finish the "States of Matter" section should complete it as homework by Tuesday.
Fourth grade math
Students met together today, and the blue group taught the purple group students lattice multiplication for double-digit numbers. Students also worked on pre-assessments in time-telling, addition & subtraction, place value, and algebra.
