Sharing the Biographical Essay: Students brought home the final drafts of their biography essays to share with you. Please take the time to read your child's biography and fill out the yellow sheet with them. The yellow sheet and biography essay is due back in the classroom by tomorrow, Wednesday, April 10th. Thanks.
Field Trip
UPDATED INFORMATION about the AMTRAK field trip for Thursday:

students are permitted to bring between $5.00-$10.00 (max) to use in the train
café car on the return trip.

Please note the late return time from this trip as 5:00pm with pick up at the Berkeley Amtrak train station.
Wednesday: Author visit, 9:00am - Olive the Story Teller
Thursday Book Swap: Although we will gone on our field trip for the official book swap, the students may bring in books by tomorrow to include in the swap. We will have a chance on Friday to look through the leftovers.
Friday Read-A-thon: Friday - The students may wear pajamas, bring a cozy pillow, stuffed animal and books, books, books. We will spend a considerable part of the day reading!
We will start our day with a The Neddiad thematic breakfast of doughnuts and "coffee."
Math Club: Today in Math Club, we had lively problem solving in action with a magic card trick. Most students discovered it helped to work backwards and record their attempts to figure it out--some will still be working on it over spring break! Others explored symmetry and area with the Part & Whole problems, or worked on some challenging puzzles.
Oregon Trail: The student groups planned their expenditures for the 180 day journey across the continent. Decisions about the type of wagon, food items, and general supplies took much of our afternoon.
