This morning was our first “Cerritoberry” meeting (Cerrito and Strawberry Creek classes together). Mike Sinclaire led a song and several games. With 47 kids we had quite a large circle! We also had our first choice time back in the classroom with students working on their journals, playing games and getting to know the materials in the room before heading out to the bus for our ride to Tilden Park. While we waited for the lake to open we played a group game known as “Giants, Wizards and Elves” on the grassy field.
At the lake the sun was shining, and ducks were meandering. The children swam, played in the sand and talked with friends. It was a great way to wrap up the week.
Everyone who went in the water was asked to shower before getting dressed at the end of the day, however it is a good idea to have your child shower again at home today.
Lastly, thank you for sending your wonderful children to TBS. Strawberry Creek is a terrific class!
