Wordly Wise: This week (tonight for sure!), students have set goals in Wordly Wise, and should spend some time each night working toward that goal.
Remember to bring in any spare change or new/lightly used dog supplies for our Muttville donations!

The evening itinerary as it stands for now:
6:00 - 6:45 Family Potluck at the Strawberry Classroom
6:45 - 7:15 Performance in the Depot
7:15 - 7:30 Slide Show
7:30 - 8:00 Celebration of 5th graders moving up
8:00 - 8:30 (Flex time - in the event the student performance runs longer)
At this time, the plan is that students will not need to stay after school (as we did last year), but should arrive by 6:00. Please keep an eye out for opportunities to help set up and clean after the event.

Our small crew today engaged in a variety of activities: working on puzzles that required sequencing & multiples; solving Once Upon a Time problems, involving time measurement; playing Frac-Jac and other games that practice adding fractions; or solving the Frog & Toad puzzle. After lunch, we watched two mathematical short videos by mathemusician Vi Hart: the club favorite Wind & Mr. Ug, about mobius strips, and Spongebob's Pineapple Under the Sea, about Fibonacci numbers.
Life on the Oregon Trail:
We continued our experience on the Oregon Trail with more knitting, cooking, and carpentry. Today students made Johnnycakes, continued to work on their keepsake boxes, and worked on knitting with Ann!
