Blue Group Homework: Improper and mixed fractions.
Class Meeting: Today Zach Roberts met with Strawberry to discuss and answer questions about the recent event affecting a TBS family (he sent an email regarding this to all families). The kids asked great questions and had a thoughtful conversation about the topic.
Fourth grade math
Purple group: After a mental math warm up, students worked in pairs to order fraction cards using benchmarks, like 0, 1/2, 1, and 2. This can be a quick strategy for comparing different fractions.
4th Grade Blue Group: Today we had a whirlwind of of fraction work from finishing work from Tuesday, to ordering fractions, and lastly reviewing improper and mixed fractions for tonight's homework.
