Reminder: Field trip to Mission Dolores on Thursday, October 20 (8:45-3:00). Students missing permission slips brought a new copy home today. Please turn it in tomorrow.

Homework:

• 5th grade math homework: 5th graders should study for their assessment tomorrow using their math notes.
  
• 4th grade math: No homework.
• Science: Students should finish the Food Chains they began last week. See last Tuesday's blog post. Due tomorrow!
  
• Social Studies Homework: Life at the Missions and corresponding reading, due Wednesday. This assignment counts for the reading log for Monday and Tuesday. Some students chose to work on this assignment in school during an open work period, and were asked to bring it home to check over tonight.
  

Math: In fourth grade, students completed a pre-assessment for the next unit on probability and data analysis, to see what they already know. They also looked through their work from the previous multiplication unit, and selected strength and challenge works for their portfolios.

Word Study: Today some Strawberry students worked on word sorts of compound words using the Words Their Way spelling curriculum.
