4th Grade Math: Today students explored POWER POLYGONS! After making some creative designs with the power polygon manipulative, students played a game where they compared and contrasted different polygons based on the angles, sides, and other attributes of each shape.
MoMA Visitor: After snack, Heather from the S.F. MoMA came to Strawberry Creek to prepare us for our visit on Tuesday. She introduced us to different types of paintings and discussed what we should expect at the museum next week.
Cultural Studies: We continued our study of Lewis and Clark through our read aloud book, Streams to the River, River to the Sea. Students also had the opportunity to investigate different primary sources such as letters between Thomas Jefferson and Meriwether Lewis and maps of the Louisiana territory and the newly discovered Western land.
