4th Grade Math - Tangram puzzle pages (and tangram templates as needed) record your solutions and design an original puzzle (due tomorrow). If you are stuck on the 7 piece square here are two clues: Clue #1: the two big triangles make half of the square (following the steps we used to cut it out). This means the other half is an arrangement of the 5 smaller pieces. Clue #2: (which is a big clue) The medium size triangle forms one corner of the square. Come in ready to share your solutions and original puzzle tomorrow and solve a classmates' puzzle.
Students who already solved the first puzzles took home a new puzzle sheet. The expectation is to choose just a few of the puzzles to try solve with tangrams, not all of them in one night.
Wordly Wise -15 minutes or set a goal for completing 1-2 activities in the lesson. If you are starting a new lesson, read the words aloud to a partner before starting the activities.

Monday Assembly: The Strawberry students will be presenting at the Monday all school assembly, January 13, 9:00-9:30. The presentation is related to the ocean study and public awareness of social topics. There will be live and prerecorded performances. You are welcome to join as audience.
