Writing Homework: Strawberry students are bringing home their historical fiction journal stories again tonight to work on. They are making great progress, and some students are beginning to use the writing rubric to plan revisions. The rubric is the second page.
During science this week we have been studying sea otters. Today, after studying sea otter facts and related information we had our first round of the Otter Quiz Show.
Fourth grade math:
The purple group finished talking about range and median, and what it tells you about the shape of data. Students finished an assessment analyzing the number of cavities in our class and another class, and we began a discussion about classification of data and Venn Diagrams. In class the blue group focused on categorizing data.
Fifth grade math:
We continued our work with 3D geometry, exploring how to double volume of a rectangular prism by doubling one dimension of the figure.
