It was wonderful to meet individually with all of you this past weekend. Please make sure to send your child's portfolio and writer's book back to school with them this week. Thank you!
Science: We began our journey through the human body today. First stop- the digestive system! Students watched an introductory video to the digestive system and worked on a word search. Many were enjoying the conversation about the passing of "waste" out of the body!
Reading Workshop: Students continued to work on making different connections in our read aloud about Johnny Appleseed as well as their own independent reading. We checked in with students about having a "just right" chapter book that they keep here at school-- it would be helpful to check in at home to make sure they're reading each night for 20 minutes as well!
